Important program information

The Second Act Mortgage Academy is internal company training. It is not NMLS-approved pre-licensing or continuing education and does not by itself qualify anyone for a license.
Completing the Academy does not make anyone a licensed mortgage loan originator, and does not guarantee licensing, employment, client assignments, loan approvals or income.
Anyone without an active, verified license and company authorization must not take mortgage applications, discuss personalized loan terms, negotiate credit, or accept compensation for mortgage referrals.
External licensing costs — approved education, exam, background check, credit report and state fees — are separate and are disclosed before you incur them.
No one in the program is paid for mortgage referrals. Any business development role and any compensation require legal approval and proper worker classification.
Reverse mortgages are loans. They are not government benefits or free money, and they do not guarantee anyone can remain in their home. Borrowers must meet ongoing obligations, including property taxes, insurance and maintenance.
There is no upper age limit, and younger qualified applicants are welcome.
